The Women's Clinic in Falun is the only maternity clinic in the county. At BB/Gyn, we care for new mothers and newborns, as well as patients with gynecological care needs. The operation also includes a maternity outpatient clinic and a postpartum clinic, where we offer follow-up and support after discharge.

Here, we work evidence-based and person-centered - focusing on safe care, good treatment, and close collaboration in teams.

Temporary Midwife for the Maternity and Gynecology Department in Falun Job Responsibilities

As a midwife with us at BB/Gyn, you will work with:

• Care and support for new mothers and newborns
• Follow-up of breastfeeding, pain, health, and recovery after childbirth
• Collaboration in a team with nursing assistants, doctors, and other professionals
• Contributing to safety, continuity, and good quality of care for each family
• Gynecological care, observation, and treatment for both urgent and planned care needs.

Patients with gynecological care needs are also cared for in the department, including women undergoing investigation or treatment for gynecological cancer. We have a close collaboration with our cytology clinic, which is responsible for sampling, counseling, and follow-up.

Healthy mothers and babies often stay at the patient hotel or go home early. Follow-up occurs through our postpartum clinic, which you may also participate in depending on the needs of the operation.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed midwife
• has a genuine interest in women's health, postpartum care, and/or gynecological care
• enjoys working both independently and in a team
• has a good ability to prioritize and create safety in meetings with patients and relatives

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience from maternity, gynecology, or postpartum care
• experience in emergency care
• experience of teamwork with multiple professions
